The Kevin Guitar Band (aka 'KGB') released a demo tape back in 1988. Print-Through presents those demos plus 5 bonus tracks as the 'Super Deluxe 25th Anniversary' EP. Here is the promo sheet which accompanied the original demo: "THE KGB" are a Brockville, Ontario based rock trio comprised of three veteran live/studio musicians.
Kevin 'Guitar' Crotty is a Brockville native who has been playing in clubs and at festivals since the age of 15; for several years he performed under the authority of an L.L.B.O. special license. "THE KGB" is the first band Kevin has fronted, although in the past he sang for cowpunk group Dazzle Red. THE KGB is the vehicle for Crotty's and Bass Player Mike Mann's original compositions.
Mike Mann, bass and vocals, recently relocated to Brockville from Niagara Falls, where he was well-known on the music scene.
Rounding out the trio is Kevin Guitar's younger brother Glen 'Bongo Fury' Crotty. Glen is one of the area's most in demand percussionists, and has been known to fill in with as little as half an hours notice.
This demo is an introduction to the somewhat raw sound of the newly formed KGB, future plans include a vocalist, keyboard player and a second guitarist. We hope you can find the time to listen and critique THE KGB.
